Don't waste money.

output quality sucks. There are no settings to adjust the resolution and the software is absolute garbage and ads. Don't waste your money, seriously. If you can get it to work at all, it's so bad you might as well not use it. If your output is connected via HDMI, this is slightly better. but not enough to justify the price.

It works, but not great.

It works. If you want to use an iPhone, most apps won't work. When using RCA cables, the video and audio quality is mediocre at best.

Pros
  • Like all so far
Cons
  • I don't have much animosity about it, everything is fine

Works well in streaming media players

Very easy to install and connect. I don't understand the other review that said it was a connection issue. Works well with my screen radio. The only complaint is that it stutters every now and then, so the display isn't the best, but since I wanted to see my Google Maps on the radio screen, it works very well. Good value for money.

  • Free for educational purposes

Fine for the home but not for the car

If you want your TV mirror to work properly. I bought it for my 2013 F150. The connection is simple, the resolution is average. Was hoping to use it for Waze or G cards. As soon as you put the truck on the ride, the video turns off. I've seen other $300 items online and you have to plug the cable directly into the radio, which bypasses the problem when you turn on the truck. My cheaper shortcut didn't work. Ford Sync 2 is useless.

Cannot be recommended for TV/Video

Well I had high hopes for a $30 unit that would mirror the screen of my iPhone in my car (2014 QX80). And these hopes were actually too high. First, the installation process is disgusting. After several attempts I finally managed to connect it. And there are no problems with the instructions. They were pretty clear in the order of the steps. Is it the device itself or the software? The mirroring lags and is usually delayed by a second or two. It also stops mirroring quite often. Of all my…
