🐾 SmartyKat Kicked Critter: Ultimate Soft Plush Kicker Cat Toy Review

Lack of flexibility. Probably better for a dog than a cat. Mine loves rustling foosball toys but this one was too long and thick for her to carry around like it was some small prey she had caught (that's the point), not a winner.

I have two kittens and two old cats, they all love this toy. It has such a crunchy sound when they pounce on it. And it's long enough when they fight him that all 4 legs can wrap around him so they can "kill" him. It's so cute to see the kittens pull him between his legs to show his mother their booty.

This is a well made toy but my kitty shows no interest in it. I got it as an alternative to my legs and arms so she can bite and kick. I tried several times to give it to her when she was in that mood but to no avail. She's one of those cats that doesn't respond to catnip, so I can't even rub the catnip in! I hope she accepts this as she will absorb more of her scent and mine but will likely bring back.

The thing is huge! I didn't understand when I bought it, my fault. But my reason for the low rating is: 1. My cat doesn't like playing with him 2. If he plays with him (high catnip) and bites him, he ends up with a toy fur in his mouth. The fur seems to linger for a while because it does strange things like shaking its head and sticking out its tongue. At first he seemed afraid of it.

I would like to say that my cats played with this toy but they didn't. They show no interest in this toy. I guess I didn't pay attention to the size when ordering because it's huge. Looks longer than my kitten. I expected it to be firm, but it's thin. The quality is very good in all respects. Can't comment on durability as my cats don't play with it. It's probably going to be one of those toys that gets lost in a pile of things and I don't want them messing up the floor.

Cat toys are always successful or not because all cats are different. For the cat I bought this toy for it was a failure. I bought it for a 2 year old cat with lots of energy. He loves to grab a person's arm or leg and kick them, so I thought this toy would be perfect for redirecting that energy. Unfortunately, he doesn't care until I sprinkle catnip on him. But even then, it doesn't hold his attention for long. The description says it's a crunchy toy but the one I got wasn't.

When I ordered it, I didn't notice that it had annoying folds on the inside. We have a similar one chatting so thought I just had another one. My cat hates plastic scales. Don't touch. It's great because I hate it too! Lol But I could tell she was confused because she usually likes big foosball toys and they are very similar to the ones she has (same brand too).
