We hike a lot with our kids (currently 6 years old). Unfortunately, they don't make many warm hiking or climbing shoes for small children. It seemed like they were working. We wanted to LOVE these boots! They have good traction but are flexible. They look good and were warm. However, we bought them for an upcoming trip to Ireland (wet!) and spotted them in the rain after wearing them for the first time. They are not waterproof! The entire inside of the shoe was wet. So disappointing. In addition, the gripping element in the heel rusted after a single exposure to water. Back to the drawing board! I wouldn't recommend it as a waterproof.

I wanted to love these boots. They look great, they're soft on the inside, great grip, but they're very stiff. You give nothing at all. Unfortunately, it looks like a cement block or hard metal on the foot. Maybe this download type should be like that idk. I've never had such stiff winter hiking boots.

These boots are NOT waterproof. And the clip at the bottom breaks too easily. When my boys put their boots on for the first time, the metal part broke off at the bottom. They wanted to run into the puddles and since they have to be waterproof I let them. Feet got wet and now the boots are ruined

They are good quality and my son says his feet stayed warm and dry in them. They came in a package not a box which was the only downside. But they weren't hurt at all.

My son is underage so he had to buy shoes that weren't too childish and wouldn't break the bank. They were affordable and my son loved them. They fit him well and he likes them so much that he wears them to school, although he says they're too cool for boots.

Very good boots! My 8 year old grandson even called to point out all the great features like the non-slip bottom that can "climb snowy hills".

I bought these boots for my 10 year old son, they fit well. I really like that they have a metal handle on the bottom for ice and extra grip. The only problem was the lace ripped on the first day of wearing.

Ordered two pairs and my boys LOVE them! Keep your feet warm and comfortable. We're in the south so haven't tried it in the snow yet but hopefully :) But whatever these are great boots they love them a lot!

Nice and warm for our northern winters. Has a retractable ice grip in the healing area that will come in handy in our frigid hills area. Longevity has yet to be determined as I bought these for my 12 year old son. Update - very durable, lasted my son all winter and practically new. I will donate as there is so much life left!

I bought this for my 9 year old son for school, he wants to wear it everywhere. He said it was very convenient. And it's a durable material.

I bought these for my 3 year old to wear this winter. He wanted to put them on as soon as we got them. They are easy to put on and take off. You seem warm. They seem to have good firm soles. We live on a farm and he rides on mud, gravel etc and so far so good. I hope they work well when we have snow! Update: We are looking for snow. Like 8 inches at one point. He wore them and they worked great!

The first 2 pairs were too small. So I sent both back and ordered 2 sizes bigger. Now I'm having trouble getting my money back for a pair of returned shoes.

You are perfect. My son is an 8 and I am an 8 and they are a bit big so this is perfect considering I will be wearing extra socks! Also the spikes under the boot are amazing!

The metal blade on the bottom of the shoe helped a lot. These shoes passed the test of kicking 12 inches of snow and warming up the feet of an energetic 7-year-old doing extreme sports. Highly recommended!

My stepson lives in Northern California and the weather is pretty wet and very cold but the shoes were perfect! Not only did he love them and the color, but he could wear them on almost any terrain due to the spikes underneath.

My son has Down Syndrome and has trouble finding shoes. They fit well and are true to size. They are so good that he never wants to take them off, which is unusual for him.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. Finally a boot with Velcro so I don't have to waste time lacing. They are perfect when snow and ice kick in due to their amazing traction.
