Works but VERY difficult to close.

Works but VERY difficult to close. It takes a long time to close as you have to fold each spoke individually before you can fully close the umbrella. In my opinion the only plus is that it is small and very light.

It was easy to open and close but entirely by hand

Exactly what I was looking for. It's ultra light. Opening and closing was easy but completely manual. I wasn't expecting the umbrella to be particularly strong considering its weight, but it looks reasonably constructed and has more canopy than I expected.

Sending back garbage from China.

for a very long time. The ad clearly states that it is "Made in Japan". It is made in CHINA. I could spend 1/5 of the money looking for an umbrella made in China. Very disappointed in this product and absolutely false advertising.

Probably to be stronger, but if it's 2 inches longer than my backpack and I use it for an hour for three weeks. The little thing is much better suited for compact ultra-light tours. 50z!

Expensive but light weight worth it

I have had an ultra light Snow Peak umbrella for the last few years but recently lost it. Now the cost has gone from $39 when I bought it to $50 plus. Curse. I really liked this umbrella - it's so light and so functional. Ideal for hiking and traveling with light weight. Although some climbing friends who have used their Snow Peaks a lot more than I have have complained about the durability for the price, I took good care of mine until I lost it and had no durability issues (considering what…
