Soda Stream bottles become cloudy every few years. Although I wish they used glass instead of plastic, we replaced them so the plastic didn't look like crap.

At the start of Covid I couldn't get any more CO2 tanks. Now that I can, I changed my bottles and ran. Much cheaper than soda.

I've only recently joined the Soda Stream Club and these bottles are great value and really a 'real deal'. The labels on the bottles are not in English, but the expiration date is legible. (If you read the Soda Stream instructions, you know that this is very important for safety). It's a little weird having different colors, but that's okay.

They looked ok when I first got them but they warped/deformed quickly and I'm afraid to use them on the car so they don't break. One couldn't be used even if I wanted to because the deformation causes water to be thrown out the top when filling. Also, on two of them, the bottom plastic part came off pretty quickly.

SodaStream, do better. Strange that you don't offer dishwasher safe bottles. Ridiculous. The bottom is glued, the necks warp in the dishwasher, the bottles are ugly and did I mention they're not dishwasher safe? It's not 1980 now. There are BIG plastics and materials called metal and glass that can now be made into drinking vessels that can withstand the heat and detergents of dishwashers. Their customer support sucks too.

I've recently found out that you should replace your bottles as plastic breaks down and can burst when you switch to sparkling water (you probably really need to be old that). We finally replaced our original 5 year old soda bottles with these and they work great. It was a bit odd because the label on the bottle was in Hebrew and the description didn't mention it (hence the 4 stars) but other than that it's nice to have 3 contents so we can stay a little chilled and ready to carbonate .
