This robe is very soft and fits true to size but as far as being lightweight, it wasnt for me. As thin and light as the material feels, I was too warm in this. I just bought this and I really like the weight and feel of this robe. My only regret, thus far, is that it is too large. I always wear a medium or size 8 and the chart indicated that a medium would be for size 8-10, so I went with my normal order of medium. Because the sleeves are uncomfortably wide near my hands, I 'm afraid they will get in the way when I cook or clean after breakfast; it's also much wider than I would like at the waist and elsewhere. The material was not near as soft as I hoped it would be. The pockets are too small to hold anything useful! I hope it may soften up with washing and wearing!

Everything about the robe is great with one exception -- and maybe the problem is only with the one I received. It has an inside tie which is very nice in keeping the robe closed. However, when it is tied, the bottom of the robe is not even -- part of it hangs below the rest of the bottom edge in the front where the robe wraps across your body. This is an amazing robe in every way! I am 5' 7 1/2" and I would normally have ordered a L, but based on reviews that said it gaped, I went to XL. Mine wraps nearly one and a half times around me, no gaping, sleeves perfect (just past my wrists) and since I am tall, it is the perfect length. This is more of a medium weight robe for me, I live in the desert. So it's a little too heavy for the warmer months. It would be great if they had a long one with pockets in the side seams instead of sewn on front. The belt could be a little longer too. But it passes as a good robe.

I have purchased 2 of these as the first one was way too big.I am 5'6" about 190 and wear a 14 or 16. I ordered the XL first and it was WAY too big. I then ordered the large, washed it and dried it with my regular laundry to get the shrinkage. I’m a repeat customer, and will continue to be.They are 100% cotton so they will wrinkle a bit. Take them out of the dryer immediately to minimize this.The quality of the fabric is very good, and not easy to find nowadays. Most clothing feels like plastic. This fabric is a a soft, natural fiber.

Looks nice, fits well. If you're not sure about size, I'd order up. (Usually even size small is too big for me but this one is just right so if you expect an oversize robe, it's not.) Launders well with almost no wrinkles so you don't have to iron, assuming you iron things like bathrobes. Absorbent. Sleeves are a good length. I'm glad I bought it and do recommend it.
