I paid about $10 for it and I'm glad I didn't pay more. The sound is good, but they feel so cheap that I can't imagine them lasting more than a year without long breaks and careful use and storage. I certainly like the way they fold, but I think headphones of the same or slightly higher price will have more useful features. I also bought them used and they had a bad earbud so they sent me a new pair. I would get frustrated with the assembly if I spent $15 or $20 on it.

I wish Sony headphones had a volume control on the cord. For example, if I'm hearing inconsistent volume from Youtube clips or streaming movies, I need to adjust the volume on my laptop. Instead of sitting back and relaxing, I have to stay an arm's length away from the laptop to adjust to volume changes. These are good value headphones and you get what you (not) paid for. I think they sound good, but the noise cancellation is barely noticeable. Without music, it's even hard to tell if noise-cancellation is on. The main disadvantage of these headphones is that they are very uncomfortable. I wanted something that would block random noise around the ears to a small degree. "Noise reduction" on them apparently does not exist. I played with it, then turned it off, then turned it back on and I didn't notice any difference. Okay, they don't cost much, but the ear cups aren't "around your ears," they have small holes in the foam, and your ears have an extra piece that goes in for sealing.
