This camcorder is a complete waste of money. The image quality IS grainy and lacks sharpness. Despite the high price, it is not worth the investment .The only benefit is a decent battery life. However, with so many more advanced electronics on the market, this camcorder is simply not worth it..

I love this camera! Great photographers and technical executives have written a great deal about the ins and outs of the Sony FS100 and its bigger brother, the FS700. Suffice it to say, that's all there is to it and the price of a new or used FS100 is an amazing deal. With a Super35 sensor and programmability, this is a great camera that most consumers with a fairly quick learning curve can use to shoot professional-looking videos.
