🗺️ 2019 Single Purchase Map Update for Sony NavU NVD-U21N GPS Navigators Review

I was pleasantly surprised with this Nav-u update, apart from the fact that the charts changed to the 2009 version (since 2007). were, it is overall better much faster and better experience. I can't wait for my next trip. New features will be totally unexpected.

It looks like there is no or very little POI update. However, it shows many companies in my area that have long since disappeared or have had different names for many years. However, I haven't had a chance to test it in a new city yet. Check out my other reviews for a review on a GPS device.

I am the proud owner of a Sony NVU83T. I recently updated them with the NVD-U21N 2009 map update and couldn't be happier with this update. I have tested it on my 2008 factory installed sat nav and found that it has many addresses that are not on my factory set. This map update also updates the device firmware. If you're looking to improve your already excellent Sony GPS system, this map update is for you. I highly recommend it!

Before you spend more money on a Sony GPS, I recommend you to sell it on ebay and buy another brand. There are still no roads in this update (particularly Route 220, laid out in North Carolina in 2007), and the routes he chooses will cost you a great deal of time and money in gas. Sony knows NO GPS. If you decide to leave your Sony navigation system, be sure to bring paper maps of the areas you will be traveling to. You're really going to need them. Don't let this thing fool you.
