I bought one for myself and was so impressed with the ease of use and great sound that I bought one for my dad. He is currently undergoing cancer treatment and thought it would be great for him. I put all the music he loves on him and he just loved the sound. This will be a great distraction for him when he needs it most. Would buy more of these anytime.

The Sony player fully meets my needs for playing MP3 files, photos and videos. FM radio has an acceptable range. The update interface is quite easy to use. Battery life is as expected; I've found that disabling the screensaver that flashes the date and time every minute really reduces power consumption. The controls are pretty easy to learn in my opinion. I can easily handle them during my workouts and in low light before bed. The sound quality is excellent.

I bought this mp3 player almost 4 years ago and it still works great. I'm not interested in iPods and other fancy music players. I also don't have more than 4000 songs that I want to record on this player, so having the largest GB is not a problem for me. Now I have 1193 songs, but this number is increasing.
