I made a cutting board top for an old washing machine that I converted into a fridge. The cutting board comes in two halves and I used these hinges to keep everything neat and solid. I suggest getting the router template they sell if you're doing more than a few installs or aren't good with bits. You may also need to make sure you have the correct cutters long enough to make the holes.

I don't think the weight of these hinges is recommended. I had a unique project, two loops should have been more than enough to support the weight. Before installation, they appear to be very thick. The hinges give almost 3/8 of an inch under load. This made them expensive loops with undesirable performance. I'm sure if your project is easy (about halfway through the rating) these will be amazing loops.
