Description of Sound Storm Laboratories PB8 Subwoofer

Built-in Amplifier - A built-in 400 Max watt amplifier powers the 8” subwoofer. Passive Radiator – A driver unit that has its motor structure (magnet) removed, becomes a passive diaphragm. As a result, there is no Chuffing that you would generally get with a ported box, thus enriching the BASS & making the system more linear. Variable Low-Pass Filter - A low-pass filter is an electronic circuit that removes all the notes below the filter's frequency setting. You will use the Low-pass filter to primarily keep high notes out of your subwoofer(s). High Level Input - Speaker level inputs are commonly referred to as high-level inputs. It will be used to connect the PB8 to your factory radio or an aftermarket radio that does not have low-level (RCA) inputs. Phase Control - Phase control lets you adjust the speaker phase with the amplifier if your speakers or subwoofer are hooked up “out of phase”. Low Level Input - Line level inputs, also known as RCA inputs or low-level inputs, use RCA interconnect cables to link the PB8 with the source unit. Most aftermarket radios have multiple pairs of RCA outputs that can connect to multiple amplifiers. Variable Bass Boost - Variable Bass Boost allows you to adjust the low bass within the boost range to just the way you like it. Specs - Dimensions: 9.25” x 9.84” x 11.54”, Weight: 14.64 lbs. Warranty – Sound Storm provides a Powerful 3 Year Platinum Online Dealer Warranty so long as the purchase is made through Amazon.com. We strongly encourage professional installation of this product to ensure proper and safe functionality.

Good Bass Sub - Car Electronics

So I have this subwoofer for my 2019 Chevy Spark Bought . The sub sounds great. The amp doesn't do much when it comes to filtering out noise or other noise. When I press the screen of my radio I hear feedback tones through the speaker itself. Also, for those wanting to place it on a specific side of your car, the photos on the product page actually show the passive radiator side of the box, not the subwoofer. I was planning on installing it on the drivers side of the car but now I need new…

Pros
  • Phase Control - Phase Control allows you to match the phase of the speaker with the amplifier if your speakers or subwoofers are connected "out of phase"
Cons
  • Negative Gift
