🏀 Medium Boys' Southpole Basketball Shorts: Basic Clothing for Shorts Review

They are enough to wear at home. They just make me look a little small in shorts. They think I'm showing my legs. My teen son is about 5'1 or 5'2 theses shorts went down past his knees.

They appear to be well made, but they don't have a drawstring so you can't tie them around your waist. I bought these for my son who is average height for his age and they covered the top of his socks they were so long.

I bought 3 pairs of these mesh shorts but only wore 2. Both have the same 2 inch crotch hole. I didn't even do anything strenuous in them. Just sit, stand and walk. $15 shouldn't surprise me, but I bought a pair of Russell gym shorts. They are more comfortable and more durable. I will not buy Southpole again. I am returning the third pair unworn.

You have to be careful on this site as it doesn't explicitly put you in the male category after you choose it. In the end I decided to just order the XL and it turned out to be the wise decision I made! Since you can't see it yourself like you can in a store, there's a good chance the clothes don't fit the size you ordered.

I ordered 10/12 for my big 10 year old. This is too long. There are 14 sizes in the closet. These shirts are also completely see-through.

The shorts are very good but it would help if they had a size chart. My grandson is a size 8 and had to drop other size charts. I ordered a medium size 10-12 and they will float on it. I'm just saving them for next year!

I've looked everywhere to find the perfect pair of shorts for my son as he is quite picky about his shorts. They are long, comfortable and look great! Great shorts in every way.

The quality seemed ok for the price, just average, but the size really, really didn't suit us. I ordered medium thinking it would fit my almost 10 year old but the waist was too big even for my 14 year old. I didn't dare to exchange for a small one because I thought it might be too big. Frustrated, my kids removed the tag before we could return.

My son loves these shorts. The only problem was the seam. I had to sew up the tear in the seam after just one wear. I think it has to do with the mesh but a bit more quality control would have helped. In their defense I also bought the same shorts in 2 different colors and had no problems. You might think twice before buying them if you're not good with a needle and thread for sewing minor repairs.

I love the shorts and my grandson does too but unfortunately this brand is not made like Nike or Under Armour, they run large. He usually wears a large 12/14, but they were a bit large at the waist and 3.4 inches below the knee. I recommend 1 size smaller than what your child normally wears. Updated 09/28/19. The size on the website originally was the size on the outer label (L 14-16) but the inner label which was sewn onto the back said 'L 12- 14". Obviously a big difference. Second, the crotch is very oddly low, so the fit is very odd. When my son wears shorts just below his waist, as he usually does, the crotch is so low that it's actually difficult to move and walk in them.
