I bought this for my daughter who is 9 years old but wears a size 12. She's only in the 60th percentile for her age, but her build is a bit different. Hence the larger size compared to her age. These cargo shorts fit her perfectly. She has many pockets to put rocks in 😂 and carry all her stuff with her. She loves them very much and the red color is very bright.

After endless search for the women's department. I decided to look at the boy's shorts. I'm 5 feet 2 inches, 107 pounds, waist 26 inches, straight hips about 32-34 inches. The medium sized boys fit perfectly. The back pocket is wide enough for a boy's shorts. The fabric is much thicker than expected. The shorts have tags with a retail price of $44, but they're only $16. So I recommend these shorts based on my listed size.

I love Ben my 6 year old loves her. They sit perfectly on top of him and go below his knee! -What else can I say! It is very difficult to find shorts below the knee. I have two older boys who are not very tall but are probably a little above average for their age. It's almost impossible to find shorts that fit their tiny waists and hit below the knee. I hope they keep it up because I'm going to need them for a while.
