Good product, confusing assembly

While the product appears to be well-made, there is a strong potential for confusion during its assembly.Specifically, one would naively expect that all parts that come in pairs and are not right-left symmetric should come in both right and left versions - yet they do not, and the assembly instructions do not clarify this. This is why my original impression was that the package I had received contained wrong parts: two right stands instead of one right and one left. The two stands (which dub as

Pros
  • It came with a punctured box. One of the foot is broken.
Cons
  • Disappointed by this product. For the price, I expected better quality. This rack should be $40 at best.

Seriously easy to assemble!

I am not a handy person and I stared at the instructions for a good long time but once it clicked, it took less than 15 min to assemble. The instructions are very basic. Seems like they could be more detailed but based on reviews for similar items, they’re better than average. The rack seems very sturdy. We put our caper and Venus 11 yaks on so water would drain. Can’t speak of longevity but I’m very happy so far!

Pros
  • Have a pelican getaway on top and a hobie outback on the bottom work for me.
Cons
  • Assembly instructions are difficult to understand

Works well good for me

This was easy to assemble, but not as rugged as I was looking for. I couldn't find anything else that met my immediate need for something more heavy duty. I have a 10.5 ft, 50 lb sit on top kayak on the top and 65 lb Native fishing kayak leaned up on the bottom. Kayaks are stored inside my garage basement. So far so good, it seems to hold them just fine. The rack is up against a wall but not secured.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble and sturdy enough for my 11' and 13 ' kayaks
Cons
  • It is not sturdy enough to hold heavy kayaks or SUPs

Good inexpensive rack

I've two kayaks that are pretty big (Hobie Outback 12 and Wilderness Systems Tsunami 165, to give you idea of sizing) - and the rack fit them perfectly. The stand itself has relatively narrow profile, is sturdy, and was a breeze to put together. Padding for boats looks well made, and the stand itself is very light to move around (empty.)

Pros
  • Very easy to assemble all by myself and got my kayaks up off the floor!
Cons
  • The storage arms are too closely spaced and may damage the kayaks or SUPs

Easy Peasy! for my opinion

This took minutes to assemble and securely keeps my kayaks off the floor and out of the way. I'm using this in a basement on a concrete floor. Our house is 115 years old with a stone foundation. The last thing I wanted to do was drill any hangers into those stones or the original floor joists above. Anyone with an old house knows that you don't want to wake up the beast! This is a great sturdy unit sitting directly on the floor. If I ever want to reorganize the space, I can easily move the rack

Pros
  • Cradle arms are spaced 35" apart and are heavily padded for protection from scratches and damage
Cons
  • The design may not fit in with all interior styles

Perfect for the space I had.

I read reviews about it not being very tall. Which is good for me. I also ride my bike 5 hours a day and have a bike shelf for all my bike snacks. So it fit perfect on my shelf.Put together in five minutes.Easy. Great space savor for me.

Pros
  • Highly recommend. Easy to assemble.
Cons
  • The storage rack is not durable and may break easily

Great product for a great price

The product is fantastic and really easy to assemble. I bought the caster wheels as well to make it easy to move around. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Indoor Canoe Storage
Cons
  • The rack may not be suitable for uneven surfaces

Very weak and wobbly. Not sturdy.

Very weak/wobbly.One of the beams was received bent.Still useable, just don’t touch the kayak once it’s on it. Otherwise, the stand might collapse and break.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The rack may not be compatible with all types of walls

Holds large kayaks in my review

This product holds my two large BKC tandem sit on top fishing kayaks with no problem at all. After reading reviews of so many other racks being to small, I came across this one. I've been very happy with it. It sets against my garage wall (didn't have to anchor it), and is very sturdy. I highly recommend this rack for those with larger kayaks.

Pros
  • Zero tools required for assembling—ready in minutes
Cons
  • The storage capacity may not be sufficient for all users

Better than I expected

Went together quickly, appears to be sturdy and piles my four kayaks on very easily. That's my feedback! Glad I bought this one!

Pros
  • at this moment it is storing a kayak and a canoe
Cons
  • It is not adjustable and may not fit all types of kayaks or SUPs

Works just fine in my review

Holds my solo canoe on the bottom and my pungo kayak on top. That's my feedback! I put it on cinder blocks to get it off the ground a little bit.

Pros
  • Perfect fit for my two kayaks!
Cons
  • The design is outdated and unattractive

Best rack to date for my opinion

I previously owned a Talic freestanding rack that served its purpose for many years until it recently collapsed. I just assembled this Sparehand rack and I love it so far. Easy assembly with no tools required. Only took 15 minutes and I’m slow at these sorts of things. It is surprisingly sturdy and made out of very rigid metal with a good support structure. Very compact when compared to my Talic. I just opened up an extra two feet of walkway space in my garage because of that. It fits my 34”…

Pros
  • Unisex-Adult
Cons
  • The weight capacity is limited and may not hold heavier kayaks or SUPs

Easy assembly & sturdy

After ordering another kayak rack first & sending it back, I am very happy with this rack. It was extremely easy for me to assemble alone. My two, 10 feet kayaks, fit great on it in my garage for winter storage. It should be just as easy to disassemble in the spring.

Pros
  • Works great...takes up very little room.
Cons
  • The storage arms may bend over time

Well constructed and easy to assemble

Unit was easy to put together and well constructed. Maybe a little narrow or short on support arms to hang Kayak as Mfgr instructs; upside down.

Pros
  • Perfect for my kayaks!
Cons
  • The rack is too bulky and difficult to move around
