Great for Projects - Arts & Crafts

Bought for a school project and my child found the instructions easy to understand. The bird house is more durable than fragile pressed wood sets held together with glue. If there's a downside it's the fact that it doesn't come with a lot of paint, but we had our own paints so that didn't affect my rating.

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • Update Available

Not good! I will neither buy nor recommend this product.

I am ordering a birdhouse for my son's class. There were knots in the wood and the nails didn't go through the wood so I had to buy extra sandpaper and nails. It doesn't require a drill but had to use one. The wood was uneven and splintered very easily. I wanted my money back but we had to do it.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great gift for children

The bird house was the same as in the photo. Easy to assemble. My 6 year old granddaughter was happy to help with the assembly and especially with the colouring. Great for creativity, fun learning, open discussions about how and why the birdhouse is constructed the way it is, how the size of the door compares to the size and species of the bird, and more.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Not worth the money.

gift for a 9 year old girl. She loved it but couldn't hold the pieces together because the nails were too brittle and constantly bent and the wood was difficult to hold. She assembled the house with a hot glue gun and then painted it so beautifully. The next day, wherever she could, she hammered a few nails into it and hung it on a branch. The next day part of the bird feeder fell off. Not worth the money. Assemble the bird house and prepare it for painting.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • weak

Deformed wood makes it a loser

Almost nothing about this set deserves praise. Most disappointing were the deformed wooden parts. See photos. The kit is just a few simple cuts of raw wood that the seller wants you to sand down. The assembly is risky because parts with different shapes have to be held together. Make sure you drill pilot holes and good luck finding a solid surface to hammer into without damaging other parts already installed. Several hands or a workbench are required. Choose another option.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Dubious purchase for the elderly
