Spectra Premium 93028 Heater Wrangler Review

The product started leaking so badly that my Jeep started overheating due to coolant loss. I had to bypass the radiator.

Exact replacement for the original in my 2006 Wrangler. It was worth waiting a day or so for delivery instead of paying double the price at your local parts store. I just hope it lasts half as long as the original.

Appears to be of good quality. I've had it in my jeep for a few months now with no problems! The heater core isn't something you don't want to do twice, so a quality replacement is a must.

Don't waste time. Dumped immediately after installation. It keeps dripping out of the drain hole in the heater box. Installation requires complete removal of the dashboard. Also, almost no heat comes out, although the engine was running at full temperature and both radiator hoses were very hot. Also confirmed that the faucet door is working.

So tonight I'm starting to smell coolant, hmmm I think the hose has burst, I replaced both hoses less than 12 months ago. but hey, it happens. It replaced the water pump in 2019, the seal may be defective. Come home, pop the hood and there's no coolant on the hoses or under the hood. However, I can hear a trickle, a lightbulb glowing where it's coming from, that's a wonderfully good stream coming out of the heater core/AC evaporator box. #$&%, purchased here from AMAZON, SEPTEMBER 2020, 7…

Installed on a well maintained '05 Wrangler. Unfortunately, that was a lot of work for the low heating output. If you want a well working heater use something else, it's not a very good core. Good maintenance means system has been properly flushed prior to core installation, checked to ensure unit is clean, new thermostat, new Mopar 50/50 coolant.

The heating performance of this heater is weak at best. I made sure all air was evacuated from the system and made sure the blend door was working, but the air only came out warm from the vents. For the time it takes to replace the radiator it's not worth it. Remove and repair the factory heater core or buy a new factory heater core. Don't waste your time and money on this.
