Mostly Good

But the tiny "V" shaped tip of the separating blade is too narrow and the "V" edges will be cut at the same time as the tip. This results in a wider mark than desired. I have bought several of these from various sources and it is present in all of them. That tells me it's a production change, which is bad, bad, bad.

Comes in a matchbox sized box, no handle. I first bought a starter kit with a 4 x 6 block, handle and 2 blades after reading about it on a blog about DIY stamps. The blog also recommends purchasing different sets of blades. I didn't even know I wanted to make stamps, so I figured I'd keep the $9 starter kit and ditch the $13 accessory kit that was on offer. Turns out I love making stamps. There's something insanely cathartic and relaxing about it, shaving those rubber blocks (think cuticleโ€ฆ

Poor quality, rough, dull blades

sigh. Well, I've been warned by other reviewers, but I had an old speedball cutter that I wanted to try on the new blades. Not only are the blades dull, but the edges are all rough and cut, so the shape the blades should be is distorted by the rough edges, so it's not even that shape. Very bad quality. I know, I know you get what you pay for. but why even make this product if it doesn't even work? I could cut a bit with the old blade I had, so I figured the new ones would work just as well orโ€ฆ
