Does exactly what it's supposed to. Also looks good on our counter. There was a very slight defect on the inner lid, but nothing has detracted from the usefulness of this spice bowl. Should have bought a year ago!

At first I was very happy with this product but then I found that the lid didn't close completely. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the inner containers were of different heights, with the taller ones preventing the lid from closing properly.

I learned about spice dabbas while learning some Indian cooking techniques recently. These are great tools and I'm surprised they aren't well known in the US. I use two of them. One for the seeds and other spices I use at the beginning of cooking and one for the spices I use later in the meal. It's a great system and a lot more convenient than rummaging through your closet for spice bottles. This does not only apply to Indian cuisine.

This product was almost perfect apart from an odd difference in the height of one of the inner cups. It's exactly 1cm taller which leads me to believe it belongs to another, taller product and this one just got mixed up. This is a bit disappointing though as that 1cm prevents the inner lid from fitting snugly and forming an airtight seal. If I take a bigger cup, then everything fits together perfectly! That's all you need, makes Indian cooking so much easier since your standard 7 spices are ready. No need to fiddle around in your spice cabinet trying to get a scoop into a small spice jar from the grocery store or out of a dirty bag from the spice store. Every Indian cook needs one of these, if not several. Now for the product, it's durable and well made, especially. by price. Looks good in the kitchen. Low profile to keep it on the side Comes with a double lid but the lid is awkward to close and open when held as is. There was a way to solve this problem, otherwise I would have given it 3 stars just because it's too tight and doesn't open easily once the lid is on. To make it as convenient as possible I removed the lid support handle and installed it on the opposite side of the lid. This allows the lid to fit inside the main compartment and be easily removed. I…
