Spigen Tough Armor Designed For Google Pixel 5A 5G Case (2021) - Metal Slate Review

So far so good! This is a good case. I'm using gesture based controls (swiping instead of navigation keys) and in this case everything works fine.

Favorite case. Positive impression of the phone. I've always used Spigen cases along with tempered glass. Affordable and offers the protection I need. The aesthetics in this particular case are a bit off. The body doesn't fit snugly around the rear camera, slightly offset. They could improve this in design or maybe I got a weird one.

This particular design is one of the best cases they have. The Pixel has a hard-to-find fingerprint reader, and this has a notch that goes your finger straight there. The built in kickstand allows you to prop your phone up for media viewing and overall it fits like a glove. It's not a rubber grip on the back, but it has SOME tact, and over time as your hands rub oil into it (sounds rough, but that's what happens) it gets even more grippy. This case is great and nice overall. It has a conveniently raised lip to protect the camera and front screen, and the fingerprint reader is within easy reach. I like having a booth. I use it quite often to watch videos with headphones while having breakfast at the coffee table. But after a visit or two you get used to it. I've dropped it several times and no scratches on the phone or the case itself.

This case fits my Pixel 5a 5G perfectly. It looks like it was created by Google engineers themselves. Good fit, perfect symmetry around all buttons and ports, and absolutely perfect camera lens protection. Outstanding case. Perfect for Pixel 5a. It's "Bulky!" I say that because it adds a lot of bulk to the phone, but having had a Pixel 3 and a much thinner, flimsy plastic case, in 3 years I've owned the Pixel 3 at least a couple dozen drop it .times, and it finally cracked. Phone case works well. I've only had him for a few weeks, let's see how he behaves. What I don't like about this product is that you can feel the power button, you can't feel the difference between the volume up and volume down buttons that are under the power button. I can feel where the power button ends. And I can feel where the volume down button ends.
