Don't waste your money. Such a disappointment.

This is the biggest heist I've seen in a long time. My 6 year old niece asked for this for her birthday. I had one as a kid and really liked it so I ordered it. We didn't bother to open it until Friday. I was so disappointed and angry. It has no holder to insert dental paper to guide small circles. It's also made out of very cheap, flimsy plastic. I couldn't get him to do anything. My niece called it trash and she was right. Just throw your money away, at least you won't be disappointed.

Yes. spirographs. in sets for creativity

Was a random purchase for me, 29 years old. Came in great condition in a plastic case containing all your gears, love it. The paper that comes with it is ugly, cheap and tears too easily. The computer paper worked great. You also get 3 high quality markers in boring red, green and blue tones. Felt-tip pens or normal pens are also suitable. The booklet that comes with it is very interesting and a good starting point, especially if you want to get more technical with your projects. You get a wide

frustrating without pins

Yes it's a spirograph, yes we had fun with it. However, this is by no means "Original Spirograph" putty is very frustrating. The pieces are very similar to what I remember, but they are not as strong and thick as before. I finally found a piece of plain backing from an old photo frame and some small pins, and it worked much better. Get creative to work around the putty, it's non-tacky, will stick to the paper and leave a stain on the image when you're done. What's the point of making a cool…

This is the best occasion gift

I first bought this for my 2 year old not knowing that manual dexterity is required. This is the best random gift! I played with it every day. And although my daughter can't use it yet, she loves watching me do it and keeps asking for it. And my favorite part is coloring them. I fantasize about all the cards and stationery I can make for myself and gifts. Regular ballpoint pens work great. I bought a pack of multiple colors and am having a lot of fun experimenting with endless patterns. I tried

Weak plastic that can break easily.

Wow. So close to being a great tool/toy. Gone are the pins used in the '70s, replaced with sticky clay to hold the ring in place. Hooray, there are no holes in the paper. The problem is that these rings are very fragile. They flex during use, which can cause the wheel teeth to slip or otherwise ruin the design. I followed the directions by applying 4 dots of putty to the ring and pressing it down. Didn't stick. Ahh, the teeth are 1-2mm thick, but the ring itself is much thinner. Okay, thicker…

Not "original " for handicraft sets

Completely useless garbage! Honestly I don't understand the positive reviews. As kids we had the "original" from Hasbro in the 70's. It had pins to attach the wheels to the thick cardboard provided. The wheels were thicker, didn't bend as much. We played with it for hours and never got tired of using it. I was afraid to buy it when I read the description, but seeing all the "great" reviews, decided to give it a try. Mounting wheels is one of the most idiotic ideas I've ever seen. I tried…

Wobbly Wheels in Arts and Crafts

I have the original Spirograph to compare and I have to say the quality of the new one is lame. The original was made out of hard acrylic that could actually shatter if you tried to destroy one of the wheels. The new one is made of a much softer and more flexible material. While I don't have a definitive opinion on any of the materials, if the product works, the new Spirograph unfortunately had a couple of defective wheels, which I believe are down to the materials. Unfortunately, gears 80, 72…
