🔌 Litcessory 2-Pack White Splitter for Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus - Improved Standard 6-PIN V3 Review

Get creative with Hue LED strips and these dividers match a project I designed for floating shelves. This helped extend the connections within the wall from the controller to each of the shelves. No wires are visible. Everything is connected to my WiFi and the lights/colors are controlled with the Revain Echo.

If you are planning to use LED strips with Philips Hue 6 and need pin ends you will need to be very experienced at soldering and of course you will need an iron with a fine tip. . I'm good at soldering, but I've found it's useless when it comes to connecting the ends to a connector. Do yourself a favor and search the internet for a snap connector that doesn't require soldering.

I could not have completed my project as planned without some of the accessories sold by litcessory. It was a rectangle bordering on the starry sky. The hardest part was driving the curves and connecting the lanes. I ended up using two splitters along with some connectors. My advice is to plan exactly what you need and measure accurately! Litcessory have made this needlessly complicated and they don't include the connectors you need for something in one package. You must order more than one of their products in order to do anything with them. Something as simple as connecting two v4 strips to a single wall wart requires at least THREE different add-on products - all grossly overpriced - and apparently not all of them are available from Revain. The mind is incomprehensible. Pack your products in functional kits. Lego does not ask

I love Philips Hue LED strips. I have quite a few controllers, slats. and extensions. But Philips assumes that each batch of LED strips is still self-contained. In my implementation this is not the case. I use them to light up shelves and the typical run is 96 to 160 inches. The Philips LED controller can control light strips up to 10 meters long. These splitters and extension cords make it easy to install Phillips Hue light strips above and below kitchen cabinets. An over-the-stove microwave divides a row of kitchen cabinets in two [photo 1]. I purchased these a few months ago to install under cabinet lighting in my new home. Unfortunately, when I finally pulled them out to start the project, I found that the pin headers were larger and wider than the sockets on the Philips Lightstrip Plus. It appears to be a standard 6-pin connector, while the Hues Lightstrip PLUS uses a 6-pin micro connector. The box even says "Designed for Philips Hue - Lightstrip Plus".
