They are high quality and do exactly what they are supposed to do. It's always nice to have extra straps and straps on hand to pack your skis into hard shell ski cases.

I bought this set primarily to be able to attach snow brakes to my skis when in my pack and rubber straps are great for that. was useful for attaching skis together when carrying or whatever, but since the felt portion of the straps is so short when the straps are tightened there is no longer a felt surface to attach the strap to. You should have run the felt the full length of the strap and everything would be fine.
