The line cuts very tightly, easy to use.

I am very impressed with these little scissors. The pointed ends fall right under the strands for a tight cut. I used them for machine embroidery, but now I use them for general sewing as well. They work great as seam openers. Much better than conventional ones. Very comfortable to hold and easy to use.

Doesn't work anymore after 3 months!

It's only been 3 months and they don't cut the thread anymore except at the very bottom. I just cut the thread with them and was very careful with them. They worked great at first and then just stopped working about 3/4 of the way to the top. You just bend the thread! Of course it's too late to return it! I am so disappointed! I definitely do not recommend these!

Light, durable, efficient.

I bought these for my 90 year old mother. She's left handed and has arthritis so I figured it would be easy for her to use. They arrived today and after quilting with them for a few hours I realized I needed my own pair and had to order another. I've been using conventional thread cutters for a number of years. These are way better. They are lighter and the grip point is much further away than traditional scissors, giving you a lot more leverage and requiring less effort to cut the line. The…

Difficult-to-cut threads

I ordered a version with a rainbow colored titanium tip. They are expensive compared to cheap Castroviejo type shears. Judging by Revain's reviews, they were top quality. They look good but have a lot of thread cutting problems, which is their sole purpose. The embroidery threads are pushed/slipping out of the knives when closing. This means the blades are not sharp enough to cut into the threads and prevent slipping, or the blades are slightly misaligned. I will return them. Update: I ended up

  • Suitable for both right and left-handed users.

Scissors with curved tips for sewing/embroidery!

I plan to do more fabric applique. I saw clips in someone's YouTube video tutorial and said I MUST have these footage! I was working on an applique sewing machine thread catcher when this order came in and I said GET TO WORK AND started cutting the applique. HOW AMAZING when you use them, they cut fabric very well, they are very sharp, light, even sharp. I used to use regular scissors to cut things like this, but the fact that they have a curved tip doesn't stick to the material. Runs…

Cons

Tiny, fragile and dull

These tiny scissors have such a small blade that they are completely useless. If you have medium or even small adult hands, they will feel like kindergarten scissors. They also do NOT cut, which is good. The handle is completely "flexible" and thin. If you think you're going to trim the fabric around the appliqué, forget it. Buy something else. They are too small and boring. I just can't tell you how SMALL the cutting part is. Thought I could get into small spaces and crop them but NOT with…

Pros
  • Ideal for trimming stitches or trimming thread ends and knots in needlework, embroidery, quilting and sewing
