Disappointing Induction Cooktop with Limited Functionality

My analysis of this product showed that its induction technology wasn't as effective as marketed. While it does heat up quickly, it isn't responsive to changes in temperature settings. The size of the cooktop is also limited, making it difficult to cook larger meals.

Pros
  • Quick heat-up time
Cons
  • Limited functionality, not responsive to temperature changes

A must for hot pot fans

Heats up quickly and efficiently. The quality of the body material could be improved (cheap plastic bottom). I've used it for four hot pot sessions this winter and it's still working really well.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Great induction hob!

Pros: Light weight, easy controls, works with a 4" pot, Simmer Control provides control, quiet (relatively). Cons: Maximum power 1650 watts. 1800 watts would make sense We have a model from another manufacturer that with a maximum output of 1800 watts is very nice for boiling water, but unlike the SR-1885SS it has slightly lower heat settings in the lower "boil" range and it doesn't work with my 4" pan and it's a lot noisier while working. Both panels allow us to continue using our solar power…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
