What a pleasant surprise!

I only bought these to replace a worn out kit that came with an old bike I bought. These SRAM grips are awesome! They are easy to install and the pillow is a lot bigger than I expected. They are comfortable, durable and safe. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I'll add later

Good, cheap, durable.

These are good, durable and inexpensive grips that are a perfect replacement for universal grips, especially for children's bikes. These aren't the softest grips, but they hold up better than softer ones. The surface is textured enough to provide a good grip. I restore bikes that have been donated to an orphanage in Mexico and this is my choice when a replacement is needed.

Great for shifters

My old mountain bike uses shifters that make normal handlebars too long without cutting them. They are a bit shorter (mine is 110mm long) and look great/fit with a grip shifter on the handlebars. As a bonus, they are also very comfortable. Easy to style with hairspray. I have no idea why they are so cheap. If I ever need a pair of cranks for another bike that doesn't have a crank derailleur, I'll take the 130mm length and do it for $10.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some bugs

cheap is good Wearable

Cheap good. To attract them, the trick is to use medicinal alcohol. Pour some rubbing alcohol in and they should slide in with little effort. Remember, if they seem impossible to put on, that's good because they should stay in place :D. Use rubbing alcohol as it will evaporate. unlike oils like WD40. WD40 will stay forever and then your grip will slip. Note that this one appears to be almost 100mm long as the end cap appears to be part of 110mm. Keep that in mind if you try to compare it to an…

The 60mm cranks are perfect for a child's bike with shifter

. 1 cm longer than the original. I needed a shorter crank for the MRX Comp crankset and coincidentally 60mm is what the bike originally had. Installation was pretty easy. They are grippy but not sticky and the pattern is good. The rubber is thick and strong which makes installation easy and gives some confidence that they will be fairly durable. They're a little less flexible than the original SRAM knobs that came on the bike, but they'll likely soften over time.

Pros
  • . One year trial version
Cons
  • . Compatibility

Great replacement for kids bike

Bought these for my son's 12" Lightning McQueen bike which had sharp slick grips and got slippery when his hands were sweaty. Now that he is a more experienced rider (no training wheels and brave) he has lost control of the bike several times because of this. This is a very good soft rubber he loves and rips like crazy. Now there is no loss of control Update 01/19/17: These knobs were great but my boy hit the ends quite easily and his steering wheel became a paint hazard to any vehicle nearby…

Seems to only fit my SRAM rig

They're pretty decent, feel good, thick, grippy, light and come in a variety of lengths but I wouldn't order 60mm, 110's are barely long enough for me. That's why I didn't even consider 60mm. My only issue is that they had ends rather than double open ends like most pens. It wasn't a big deal, I just snipped off the closed end with a razor blade. By the way, they are easy to cut! There is nothing more to say about them. Delivery took about 4-5 days. I only got them because they went well with…

  • . These are amazing

Nice set of flat bar MTB/road grips

I recommend the 130mm wide grips as they are the regular sized grips I would find on a bike. Here's a fitting tip: apply plenty of hairspray to the inside of the handlebars and onto the ends of the handlebars, then quickly slide and twist the handlebars into place. Hairspray acts like a lubricant, but once hairspray dries, it becomes a powerful glue. I use this for my motorcycle grips and they stay there until it's time to cut off the old grips. UPDATE: August 18, 2016 I bought the 110mm grips…

  • Some issues
