These ladders look great and my dog has no problem using them. They are a bit tricky to assemble due to the position of the screw caps. You need a Phillips screwdriver. I used a wrench with a nozzle to do this. Once it was done, although it was worth it.

If I had known I was paying so much for inferior quality to Ikea I would not have bought these steps. - All other reviews are correct, stairs are very slippery and not wide enough for every dog. My dog decided that with the help of the crate came the ladder as the step was more convenient than this ladder. The suggestion that we should buy tread tape is ridiculous as 1) we don't need to buy another product and 2) it destroys the whole reason why this product is worth buying over cheaper ones…
