Staedtler Mechanical Triplus 77 R56 Review

The product itself is ok, but it does not fit my Staedtler Mars micro 0.7mm mechanical pencil. The diameter is a bit too thick and they are too long. I'll try sanding the outside and trimming the erasers to fit my pencil. The search for replacement erasers for my Staedtler continues.

This eraser is used in my Cross 0.9mm mechanical pencil. I kept the metal sleeve from the old eraser and wrapped it around this one. If you cut it in half before sticking it in your pencil, it will fit perfectly! This eraser does a great job of removing lead from Pentel paper (yellow wrapper) that I use! I highly recommend this eraser!

A bit difficult to replace a worn out eraser, but the leads are of the same high quality as the Staedtlers use in their pencils. For some reason, Staedtler sells mechanical pencils in the US, but not replacement erasers for those pencils, forcing you to buy them through international resellers. However, they are still significantly cheaper to buy than a new pencil and more convenient (for me) than having a separate eraser on hand.
