Made for Goldilocks

A writing instrument of your choice. Sharpies [extra fine point] bleed through paper, while others, like Pentel markers, have a point that is either too hard or too soft and softens over time. Ideal for all types of paper, from receipts to Moleskine notepads to sticky notes.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • May damage

Not exactly what I was afterwards

My favorite pencils of all time were the Pelikan Fineliner 0.5. They used a tapered tip that wrote incredibly smooth. Unfortunately they changed the design at some point in the past and the ones I have are no longer available. I've never seen a smoother pen than the Pelican. I was hoping they were almost as good. It's not like this. They just feel like a regular marker pen. They're no better or worse than ordinary felt-tip pens, but they're not pelicans. Too bad.

Pros
  • New to my collection

Pretty good thin liner

Arrived on time and in good condition. All were juicy and filled with ink, so there weren't any dry ones at all. If you do the Drawabox trial, I recommend buying it over others. It's a little pricey but worth it. They don't look cheap and I like them better than the Micron. Looks matte but shimmers when light shines on it. The tip feels a bit firmer than other fineliners, but that's not a problem.

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Out of service

For those who like thick lines

I LOVE THESE pens! I'm a bullet magazine and I love bold lines. The ink doesn't bleed (unless you use REALLY thin and cheap paper) and lasts a long time. It's very difficult to find a pack of these pens, usually you have to buy a variety of packs with very tiny tips (ick), so it was one of those angels who sang at key moments, a pack of just 0.5mm too Find. You will never have enough pens, so having a whole pack is great.

Pros
  • Draw
Cons
  • Something different

Pens write well, feel good, are lightweight and don't dry out. Best of all, they don't smear (don't take long to dry) even when my damp palms occasionally touch the written side. The only problem with this batch is that after a month 1 out of 5 started leaking so I had to throw them away. I hope others hold up better but expected better quality given the Staedtler brand and price.

Pros
  • Painting, Drawing & Art Supplies
Cons
  • High Price
