I used to use a plastic colander from Ikea to wash and drain veggies but after a few months the colander started to get moldy even though I always turned it upside down had put upside down in a dry place. Stainless steel would make all the difference, I also appreciate the set for soaking veggies and then conveniently draining them.

This colander and colander set is better than I expected. This is a good quality 304 SS. I have two suggestions for improvement. First, make the colander slightly shorter than the colander so it has room to collect excess water from the colander. Second, the brand name should be smaller and better placed either on the side or bottom of the screen rather than at the top of the bottom of the set. Users don't need to see the brand all the time.

It's more like a colander and bowl. However, this is a good quality colander and bowl. They must stay together though, as the bowls don't have legs any water (possibly impure) left in the sink can spill onto the contents of the colander. Also, when the two shells touch, metal on metal squeaks, which can annoy some people like me. So this set suits me, but I can't give five stars.

The main function of this product is to let water run into the bowl through the holes from below. Unfortunately, the holes are too small to let water through quickly. Instead, you'll have to settle for evaporation if you want to enjoy this not-so-cheap product. I don't think my tap water has any unusual properties. The screen just stays wet, I understand. My plastic strainer that just broke was much better in this regard. So, in short, looks good, doesn't work very well.
