Good stainless steel rivets

Used to repair rocker panels on a jeep, a little difficult to push out with the tool I had but worked great. The rocker was supposed to last a couple of years and those seemed pretty solid. PS, don't use aluminum rivets on steel and vice versa.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product.

Very odd rivets - assembly required

At least 80% of the spikes have come loose from the rivets and are now in the bag separately. I've seen a few rivets do this before, but not most. Vertical use can be a problem.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • For old

good quality - tools and equipment

Have gone through about 60 of these and had no problems with them. Everything worked as expected. If you want to do this with a large hand held rivet tool, prepare to practice. It takes a decent amount of effort to install, you'll feel it after the first 10 or so.

Pros
  • I like it so far
Cons
  • Not sure

Pretty tricky on riveters

I know it's user error but I've tried it with a non-heavy blind riveter and I couldn't easily cut the residue after the rivet gun was pressed. It took a lot of effort to actually push the rivet gun all the way in, but I just used the pliers and it works so well. Use the right tool for the right job, kids.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Broken

Good rivets at a good price

Funny Got a reminder/notification about this tonight! I used them for the first time tonight. Yes, they're fine, they're excellent, they're great, they work as they should. I think it was a good price. I think it's hard to find. I forgot) stainless steel rivets. Completely satisfied.

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons
  • Appearance

Best price I've seen

Love the cheap price and quick turnaround. There is only one local supplier of stainless steel rivets and they are sold in boxes of 500 at twice the price. Judge the quality of the rivets, but I've found that with these rivets, the shank almost never gets stuck in my riveting tool. Most of the time it starts right away. This rarely happened with a competing brand. Photo of the hood of the rocket furnace I'm building.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Some cons

Much stronger than a regular aluminum rivet

If installing these rivets with a hand tool, make sure you use a larger tool to pull the rivet out with both hands. Using a smaller hand riveter will make your forearms look like Popeye's (not bad if you're a man) and your weak hand riveter will eventually break. Hand rivets were actually made for aluminum rivets, not those larger, stronger stainless steel rivets. Looking at the spec sheet, these rivets have a shear strength of 950lb, more than twice the strength of a typical aluminum rivet of…

  • Don't waste too much time
