Perfect replacement

This was the perfect replacement for all the plastic door latches that broke off on a used trailer I recently bought. The mounting holes lined up perfectly with the tabs I replaced. And these metal ones last a lot longer in the Arizona sun than all the flimsy plastic tabs that broke my trailer.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Almost never

A must-have upgrade for any motorhome

So why not every motorhome sold with it? I replaced all the latches on my van with these. Old plastic parts just won't cut. The sun's ultraviolet rays destroy plastic. After a pair broke I installed them, also replaced the screws with stainless steel and coated the entire fastener with a heavy coat of silicone. don't worry anymore

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Clarity

Great replacement or addition.

Our van's electric door didn't have a latch, so you struggled with that when you dug up the body wire. I ordered this set of 5 stainless steel clasps and it was a simple addition that solved the problem. The original "cast" latches are already beginning to sharpen, so additional ones are used to replace the originals. Great quality and I would buy them again.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Good quality. Not the perfect product for me though.

Good quality. Not a perfect product for me but 2 issues I had were easily fixed. 1. The holes were not spaced correctly. I simply drilled a new hole and filled the old one. 2. The rubber base is too soft. When I tightened the screws, the rubber pad came out too easily. The rubber pad is easy to remove and the latch works great even without it. I sealed my RTV.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Caravan/Trailer Owners - A Must!

If your motorhome or camper is 3 years older, I strongly recommend replacing these plastic parts on the trailer. How about my caravan and most of the plastic clips are already broken. yes you don't need them But there are real amenities! Replace them before they break! Because I know the plastic parts the manufacturer uses WILL BREAK!?! Yes, I also remove old stickers that curl. Rschunimagu

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Expensive

MY GOD! . . . . suitable for furniture parts and equipment

OH MY GOD! YOU CHANGED MY LIFE! . . . . Well, not really, but it's a damn good set of door latches for the money, and that damn (wanted to rant here) door on the side of my van no longer falls down and hits my forehead. . . so I think they did to a certain extent. . . actually . . . change my life (and my wife's life because she no longer needs to hear me swearing that they rusted on the old doorknob that used to be there... ENJOY!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Only two closures are supplied!

Locks are good. They have a soft black rubber base for water resistance. However, only two of the five ordered reached me. The bag was torn during transport because the fasteners inside came loose. I think three fell out. I contacted the company to resend it. Let's see if they answer. If so I will come back to give them five stars. If not, I'll give one star. I have already contacted them, time will tell.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Quality

Install and use sealant with screws

. I measured and marked the spot to install so the door would latch properly, marked the location of the holes and pre-drilled the holes. I used the screws I had and added a small amount of clear sealant to the holes and along the rubber pad that touches the RV's surface. I manually turned the screws to get the right pressure. Let it dry overnight and you're done. It's been a few months so far so good. I take them lightly, but they seem to take a hit or two and are holding up well.

Pros
  • . Best
Cons
  • . Ugly packaging.
