Stanley, 16'

Hubby asked for a smaller tape measure to take with him. The larger bands were too heavy and pulled some of them together. He's happy about that.

Pros
  • Tape measure for ease of use
Cons
  • Large and bulky

30-495) almost as good as the old

I used the previous version of this tape measure for 10 years. This new version (same model number as the old one, 30-495) is almost as good as the old one. It's a good thing they haven't changed that much. Good size, weight, length and mechanical properties

Pros
  • Stable housing with a structured surface to prevent slipping; Top clasp included
Cons
  • High price

I love this tape measure

I love this tape measure. They have good body and blade finishes and seem to be quite durable so far. I use them daily to measure the amount of metal on a bandsaw to get coolant on the blade. This tends to break down the paint and cause it to peel off prematurely. A while. Mine is holding up very well and has virtually no signs of wear. The recoil is noticeable, but I try to save it so it doesn't wear out faster. good tool and great price. I would recommend unless you are a complete tool snob.

Pros
  • Manufacturer: Stanley
Cons
  • No instructions
