Died after a month best measuring and marking tools

As a dyer, I don't need an expensive tape measure. But I'm tired of buying the cheapest and constantly changing. The cheapest lasted longer. Third use and it doesn't roll back. I took it apart to fix it and a crease formed on the inner roll (probably happened when I pushed it back in). I have used Stanley tools in the past and think they are good. This may be an anomaly but I will switch to another brand.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled

Exactly what I needed for a project. I had

I assembled a Riga greenhouse which is made in Germany. All measurements were in the metric system and I was tired of playing around with a handheld computer for simple measurements. When they asked for a 1350 cm slab, I just pulled a tape measure and found the slab with no problem. Like all Stanley products I've purchased, it has always worked flawlessly. Highly recommend this if you are doing a metric project or a mixed project.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires a socket

One year wasn't enough, but I'm actively using it

What I like best is how it fits in my hand. By that I mean it does what I personally like to do with a tape measure and how I like it. The "Tylon" coating didn't convince me. I imagine it would be quite expensive to double the coverage on the first 8 feet - triple on the first 4 feet - another coat on the first 2 feet - and, oh yes, another coat on the first 12 Customs service. Seriously - I erased the numbers from this thing. I also use it a lot when it's heavy and I need to go fast. However…

Pros
  • Decent performance
