We purchased a left-to-right Starrett tape to replace the original tape. I bought this tape measure from Starrett to replace the tape on my table saw. After making some cuts, here's the difference in my readings. Then I compared with three different roulettes (different brands). All tape measures read the same, but Starrett's measurement differed by 1/32 by three feet. It's no good when accuracy is important. This works for what I want to be able to level my fence faster rather than guessing or measuring every time I do something must cut . I hate wasting so much time on nonsense like this. Now I think I'm accurate to 1/100th, so close it's amazing how a $0.7 thing can save so much time. I really liked the instructions and cleaned the splint really well, it was dry and it took me less than 10 minutes to get it right and ready the first time.
