Based on my experience, this product is unreliable and inconsistent .Although it may seem accurate at first it quickly loses its precision. The only positive aspect is its affordability. However, this comes at the cost of accuracy and durability. I would not recommend this product to anyone in need of precise measurements..

I would buy each of these micrometers (1 micrometer every month or two) until I got a 0-6 inch set and a nice Starrett wood case to keep them. It is a beautiful set and most importantly ready to use. I work in the QA department and I don't want to worry about whether my sensors are accurate or not and all 6 mics were accurate every time I needed them.
