I like RCA analog inputs versus 1/8th inputs. Sometimes it needs to be turned back on to update, but I've found that many of these converters do.

Works great! It connects without any problems, there are no problems with the picture and sound. I love it. Only thing is that it gets a bit warm but nothing to start a fire. I'm very happy with it, since I bought the computer and only much later found out that it doesn't have HDMI - I can't forgive myself for not paying attention to this detail, but with this converter everything is fine in the world . I don't think it makes a difference, but it works with both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Don't play, this device will work for you. I've tried this device on multiple systems (old Macs and old PCs) and it didn't work on ONE of them. I even tried the second block and it had the exact same problem. Video works but (analog) audio is not embedded. I have no sound from my HDMI monitor, I have no sound from the line out/headphone out jack on the monitor, and I get no sound when using an HDMI audio extractor in front of the monitor.
