Lots of little problems

It took several attempts to get working drivers for this docking station on the new Dell Vostro. The external monitor works, but almost every Aero feature in Windows 7 that would otherwise work on the laptop had to be disabled. Sometimes there is a few seconds of lag on the screen which makes everything feel cheap.

No connection to external monitor

I have this to connect my new Dell Inspiron laptop (windows 7) to a Dell monitor and the USB ports for my printer, my keyboard and use my mouse. The USB ports work fine, but no matter what I did, I couldn't connect a monitor. I contacted tech support and they told me to reinstall the driver which I tried 3 times but still nothing. I am returning and will receive a different product.

there is a delay!: docks

I've just started this and everything seems fine on the web but there is a delay in Word and it's VERY ANGRY because I'm using it for Word. Not sure if I'll keep it or not but I bought it two months ago so Dell (who sold it to me) may not be able to take it back. Especially since I don't have a box. I needed to connect an external monitor to my new laptop.

Great product and service

This worked great with my HP mini netbook. HP stopped making video display cables to connect an external monitor, but this docking station solved that problem and gave me more USB ports. The StarTech brand is great and proven.

there is a delay!
