Description of 🌱 Organic Kefir Starter Culture - 10 Capsules for 20 liters | Homemade, Natural

The Kefir is an ancient traditional Kavkaz drink, well known for its healing effect. The secret in Kefir making is the starter culture, which are the kefir grains. This is a unique symbiotic combination of lactic acid microorganism, acetic acid bacteria and special kefir yeast. The metabolic product of their mutual fermentative activity is the essential component of the probiotic qualities of this drink. BENEFITS OF HOME MILK PRODUCTS 1. The complete absence of preservatives, stabilizers, flavorings, thickeners, dyes, sugars. 2. Cooking homemade kefir, you are always guaranteed to get a fresh and lively main product (in-store, due to the addition of preservatives or heat treatment, the live microorganisms virtually absent). 3. To give the product at home, you seek in it the maximum number of live microorganisms and metabolic products. The Kefir is really called " the drink of long life " in the mountains of the Caucasus, where it comes from.

Yes, this stuff works. Even if I screwed up a little bit in the instructions a few times. Great quality starter and I love that you get a lot. (Even if you screw up, they provide you with plenty of capsules to try again.) I understand that you can save some kefir and reuse it later to make more, so you can technically continue to use it long after the supplied ones capsules. I would definitely buy from this company again. By the way, I accidentally made yogurt with it and it was delicious…

Not thick and not sharp

The product is ok. I even used a thermometer to make sure I wasn't using milk that was too warm, but only once did the kefir get as thick and tangy as it should be. After a while, the result was an extremely mild-tasting, slightly thickened product. The taste wasn't bad, but not the way I like my kefir. I followed the same process each time and left it untouched for at least 14 hours to 19 hours with the same results each time. Prolonged fermentation did not produce a thicker and sharper…

I threw it away (total waste of money)

I used Yogourmet kefir starter last year but it was out of stock. So I tried both that and the Culture for Health brand. The health cultures thrive at room temperature, like most kefirs. At this brand, it still looked and tasted the same as milk after 36 hours at room temperature. Curious to see if it needed more heat, I put it in the oven on "Proof" (which is what you would use to make the yeast dough rise). After six hours in the oven, some of the containers began to bubble and whey separated
