I had to transport 1 Trulicity pen from the east coast to Mexico. I was looking for something TSA approved. Had to put the pen in with the large side down and then put the ice pack in but it fit great. Don’t think it would hold 2 but I didn’t try. Kept my pen very cold for over 15hrs. ( I’m sure it would’ve lasted much longer. I go to Kenya in a few months and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it for that long of a trip. Very happy with the purchase and shipping time. It served my purpose.

Let me just say that i put the blue bottle in the freezer and the stainless bottle in the fridge overnight. I also had a test vial of water in fridge.Next morning took temp of water (38f) and put it all in stainless bottle and went to work, leaving it on kitchen counter in a 77 degree house. When I got home, 11 hrs later it was 54f and ice bottle was thawed. In contrast, I chilled the ice bottle over night again and put water vial in fridge. Good idea. However, my vials did not fit with the molded plastic insert provided. It should be noted that there is no standard size for insulin vials. Lantus vials are taller than skinnier than Humalog/Novolog/R/N/etc.I used the same container with small freezer get packs and achieved the same result. Could have also achieved the same result with a cheaper insulated double-wall container and moldable gel pack insert(s).

I was exited about this product for a 15 day motorcycle tour. The packaging and the product looks very professional and sharp. However after freezing the blue gel bottle, I placed inside the SS Container and left it for an overnight test. Immediately after placing the gel in the container, it began to condensate or allowing the cold to leak out. I liked the compact size of this, although for needing to hold 1 insulin pen or vial, it is a bit bulky and not the most attractive thing to carry around.The first thing I noticed is the picture showing how many insulin bottles or pens can be held is misleading. I can barely fit 1 vial of novolog. I like the design and it would work ok for someone who is carrying only 1-2 insulin pens. But I carry 3 types. (Novolog, Levemir, and Trulicity). If the gel pack is used, there is no room for the 3rd pen. However, if you wrap the pens in a flat flexible gel pack, you can make it work.

I had to travel with my medication for 3 days and upon arrival the thermos was still very cold. I was very impressed because through the years of travel I have tried Yeti flasks, and other thermos' and they did not hold the cold for that long.
