Stay Safe In Style With The Troxel Liberty Horseback Riding Helmet Review

I need to return the size medium for either a large or XL! It was way too tight/small -and I am normally a medium. The helmet may not be gymkhana-appropriate.

I love the color. The fit is snug. I have a small. I am on the border between a med and small. But the small does fit comfortably.

My son is only 8 but he has a very large sized head so after measuring him we got the medium size and adjusted it with the button at the back. It fits him great on the smallest setting and has room for growth so should last him a few years. It is very smart and shiny and he received compliments from his riding instructor.

This was just as I expected and arrived super fast! (I ordered on a Fri night and received the following Mon.) This is a great price, as I believe the manufacturer actually wanted a few dollars more for it, and the XS fits my 2.5 year old perfectly! I'm also happy to know she has some room to grow so I'm not having to rush out and get another after her next growth spurt. Both my daughter and I use this helmet. Very comfortable and love the adjustable aspects. It does move around a bit on my daughters head as she rides but partly due to loose chin strap (feeling choked if too tight). I love it and would buy again.

Item arrived on time. I measured my daughter with a soft measuring tape and used the size chart to determine proper fit. She absolutely loves the new style and how sleek the helmet looks. Troxel is our favorite riding helmet.

My daughter had this helmet in a small from 2 years ago and we needed to get the next size up, so we bought this in a ruby color. Before she had it in Cobalt. Well this color is beautiful. IT is a very dark ruby color almost garnet colored, so not sure what it looks like on your monitor. The pads are thicker than old versions of this helmet and cheetah print. Before they were just a black thin foam. Now they are really spongy-er and plusher. Which helps with fit and cushioning. Which is a bonus

does the same job as the $1,000's helmets for the great riders that doesn't need a $1,000 to convince the world that they're decent riders 😂

I returned to riding after many years out of the saddle. I needed an inexpensive helmet to protect my head while I decided if I wanted to stick with it. This is comfortable and lightweight. I’ll probably replace it with a MIPS helmet pending the outcome of the Virginia helmet study, but it will remain my backup.

There is no problem in the quality of the product but looks like these helmets are not for adults. I have ordered a large helmet as per their size guideline but it was too narrow for my head. I tried another brand with the same Large size and that completely fit my head.

I bought this helmet to replace another of the same kind. I was wearing the first one when my normally placid gelding spooked, spun and bucked. I was hurled off of him, and wound up with a concussion and broken ribs, but I have no doubts it would have been much worse without the helmet. The helmet didn't break, but after a hard hit a helmet should be replaced. I bought another Troxel Liberty because I know it works, and it's relatively comfortable.

I have been wearing Troxel helmets for the past 15 years and have managed to break 3. I am delighted with the new style, color, and affordability

This helmet is good quality, comfortable, lightweight, and a great color (teal). It must breathe well because I don’t notice it and forget to take it off, even on hot summer days. I especially like the matte finish because it doesn’t show fingerprints. Happy with this purchase.

My daughter liked the helmet. Would have given 5 stars but strap came twist so it doesn’t lay flat and make adjusting the chin strap difficult

I’ve had troxel helmets in the past and they fit well. This one has an odd shape that pushes on my head (both sides on the top, where you might place pig tails or where a cats ears would be). Color is shiny not matte like the picture. Returning.

It fits nice, it’s comfortable, I’m happy with the product. It look longer to get here then they said, almost 2 weeks longer, but I’m am happy with the product.

I was unsure on the sizing, but I went through almost all the reviews and decided to try a Medium. It seemed like most people who had the mediums worked out well, and I don’t have an abnormally large or small head lol! I wear approx. a size 7 in hat sizes. This is the first riding helmet I've bought for my son, and I didn't really know what to look for. This helmet is safety certified, very well padded, fits him nicely, and is a gorgeous shade of metallic blue. Hopefully I won't ever have to say how it stands up in an accident, but I have confidence it would protect him well.

I love the dial system on this helmet. It lets me adjust the helmet to my head perfectly for a snug fit. Same thing with the chin straps. Totally adjustable. It's very stylish and looks great on me. I'm not sure how durable it is since I just got it. It is very comfortable and lightweight. I also can't comment on the ventilation as it hasn't been hot enough outside yet to test it. But I'm extremely pleased with everything else and would highly recommend it.
