Stay Warm Outdoors: Stansport'S Portable Propane Infrared Radiant Heater Review

We had 4 chicks hatch in December, so we had to raise them in the greenhouse. With some nights dipping into the 20's, the heat lamp wasn't sufficient. This little propane heater got them through the coldest nights in the 10x12 greenhouse.

This is just weird. Not supposed to use it indoors. If I'm outside I will set by the campfire. Put this money toward a better warmer tent!

use it in my deer hunting blind this year . worked great for keeping my hands and feet warm but did not keep a 60x60x72 tent blind really warm temps were in the low 20 at that time but 40-45 is much better then 20 . it would run about 4-5 hours on a 1lb propane tank switching between med and low heat . the knob is not the greatest being made out of cheap plastic but i did not have any problems with it yet . You need to carry a Stick lighter with you to light the bruner this it does not have its

I was excited when I first got this. however I am now sincerely disappointed that it no longer works 2 months later, right after the return window closed. It was a waste of $ for me. a woman on a fixed income.

The valve on this heater is cheap plastic . I am on my second heater and the valve knob broke off after three uses. Thirty two days , just past the return time of the thirty day return policy. How convenient !

The heater works great but the base likes to fall off when moved. Only other complaint would be no igniter. That's my review.

I returned it. It was a little to small and it seem like it wouldn't heat nothing. It didn't work right. It isn't worth the price

If anywhere other than the floor it aims above you and go's up to the ceiling and wastes the heat.The dish doesn't do anything. It doesn't concentrate the heat forward. It's pretty weak and the flat front other types are 3x better in my experience. Returning for sure.

Havent gotten a chance to use it yet. Bought it to use when hunting. (this deer season got to me). Wish it had a way to add an igniter, but using a lighter is ok as I carry one with me when hunting.

The provided separate base does not protect from tip over. A simple, tight fitting, rolled plastic sheet extension fixed this.

Bought for my husband, uses it on golf cart, he says it works great, he and his buddy have used it twice and says it very good on the amount of propane it use's, would buy it again.

Works Great. I bought an adapter to fill it from my bbq propane tank and and adapter so it fits in the golf cart cup holder. Works an entire round.

They claim it has a matchless electronic iginition. It does not. You have to have a match or lighter to use it. The only reason that I bought this model was because of their claim to have an electronic iginition. Very dissapointed. You can not adjust where you want to aim the heat. The heater is fixed position.

Works great :)the only bad thing is that the knob is very cheaply made and I feel that it will break off quickly. Thanks for attention.

Compact and so handy. Was a gift for my son and wife. Their friends all ended up in their tent to warm up when weather got cold and rainy.

My husband uses this in his hunting hut. He says it puts off a lot of heat. Has to turn it on low or turn it off after just a little while.
