Stealth Cam Card Reader Viewer Review

System hangs while loading files from SD card. I have to remove the battery every time I'm done using the stealth cam's SD card reader to fix the error. I will not buy this product/brand again. Cheap fake.

!It's basically a photo viewer! Mine plays a video no longer than 4 seconds, then freezes and plays the next video. I can't see or find the time/date. From a hunting point of view it is useless. Although I haven't used it in conjunction with a hidden camera or as a card. And I wonder if it will make a difference? The card reader doesn't always want to switch on. When I first received it, it took several attempts to attach. Tried long and short key presses. After some trying, it finally started. It seems trickier at lower temperatures. The reader was left in my truck in the 30's. I've tried turning it on 50-60 times, it won't turn on. Absolute 5 stars! The best viewer I've had so far and at a great price! Very large screen (by my standards) and the menu buttons are so easy to use. Very satisfied and recommend to everyone. Some reviews mention speed as a factor. I believe it depends on how high the resolution of your camera is set. The higher the resolution, all I know is that the speed will decrease. Works as hoped! Exactly what I wanted to be able to lift my photos off my SD cards! One thing I would suggest if you intend to use it to display hundreds of photos is buy some rechargeable batteries. I gave this device 5 stars because it does everything it says on the tin. I've been using it regularly this summer when I switch my cameras' SD cards, just to test the camera's performance. It's great to have on the go, especially when setting up cameras to make sure the cameras are set up properly. It's slow and the image quality drops drastically as you zoom in. This device works, but the pictures aren't the best. And the controls are so simple, you'll have to keep running back and forth. You can't select multiple images you don't want and delete them without deleting everything or going through each image and deleting them one by one, which is a long waste of time for several hundred images. At first glance, this device looks like it could fall, but mine survived the impact and turned black. To me it's just not worth the money spent.

The first camera card I checked with the Stealth Cam SD card reader didn't have any files so I erased the card and pulled the camera out of the woods thinking it wasn't working. To the right? Ordered, paid for, tried to make it work but it doesn't recognize the SD card inserted. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a factory representative to try and get it working and it didn't work. Now I'm trying to get my money back from Revain. I simply cannot recommend this item. It seems well made and easy to use, but the one I received is useless.
