The charts are easy to follow and the detail sizes are perfect for his little hands. I bought it for my 4 year old great grandson. He was fascinated by the schemes, colors, details and tools. He literally played with it for hours and created most of the items listed. I look forward to purchasing a larger set.

There are no instructions for 42 ways to use this set. The child was very disappointed with the lack of instructions. He was initially uninterested in the show car, wanting the plane to be completed but had no instructions on how to do it himself. Such toys are intended to engage children without the active help of their parents. To say that this is suitable for a three year old is a stretch. Too expensive as it is.

Best building toy! We design all sorts of vehicles and creatures for and with our three year old. (He uses the provided tools to tighten nuts and bolts while we hold the parts and yell, "right tight, left loose.") His cousin can use it to build on her own (she's almost 6 years old). We laminated a sample sheet. Comes with clear sticky paper for the shelves, making the paper almost as strong as the colorful building blocks. I've bought other sets for other kids. I like this product very much - I buy it for the second time! I left my first purchase in good hands at my old place of work. For a whole year my kids did their best to create amazing things. I think it will be the same in my new job this year. Now that the class is bigger I bought a bigger kit and the "Master Station" was a hit. Worth every penny and I'll be getting my little one another set when he's a little older! Great for hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

This is an attractive toy that convinces in many ways, but unfortunately failed. I'm wondering if this toy was scaled down from the original and no one bothered to redesign it after downsizing. In the designs shown, only some of which have enough parts to assemble, the parts interfere with other parts so they cannot fit together, or the wheels spin in the configurations shown. My child can still assemble pieces to satisfy their building desire, but we will provide instructions to save them…

Not sure if this piece was defective but after literally 10 minutes of play it broke in the middle! I will send it back as defective. After that we played for almost an hour, but not a single piece broke. Can't say how long it lasts. We love the concept and our 3 year old twins have tried quite a few. I wish I could get a replacement for the broken part. Also, I would pay at least twice as much for a higher quality kit with heavier and stronger plastic parts. I'm not sure if this quality exists

These are really high quality parts. My 4.5 year old grandson and I spent several hours putting it together. He liked what we were building and wanted to do more. My only criticism is that there are no packs with some of the most needed parts. After we built a few cars, my grandson didn't want to take apart the ones we built. We have LOTS of strip pieces left to build more, but we've run out of blocks and screws. I want to be able to purchase screw and block sets so I can use ALL the parts…

The set is amazing! If you're trying to choose between this one and others, you'll like it. Save yourself the trouble and just get it. I first bought a similar set from another brand (seen in my photos) but the box was torn upon delivery and one of the wheels was deformed. Also, the screws and parts were so small that it was very difficult for small hands. Worst of all, the screws came loose almost immediately. We'll send it back. Then this toy came to the rescue! We tried it as an alternative…
