    Perfect replacement for my 42 " Craftsman deck

    This was the perfect replacement (due to a broken spring) on the clutch cable. Not necessarily the easiest install if you haven't already, but you probably can now do in about 20 minutes.

    Great cable. fits parts

    Bought this tractor for my father in law for less than half what Sears wanted. The same OEM cable that fits Craftsman, MTD and other brands. Thanks to this knife engagement cable, the knives start and stop like new. The YouTube video helped me install it, so don't be afraid to do it yourself.

    Put two stars instead of one because. Revain made returns easy and the cable itself was well made

    This clutch cable is NOT a direct replacement for 408714, 435111, it is 3/4 inch too long for this application. Sent back and received Husqvarna 532435111 which worked great gave two stars instead of one because Revain made the return easy and the cable itself looked well made.

    Worked great! Ordered overnight and received the next day

    Worked great! Ordered at night and received the next day. It took 10 minutes to install and I was back to cutting. Despite the videos I found online on how to replace the cable, I was able to install the cable without removing the deck or deck handle bracket. The only thing I had to remove was the fuel tank, but I was able to remove it without disconnecting the fuel line.

    Was so glad I did the parts

    Stens Clutch Cable 290-803, 75" inner wire length, 59" line length, Cable Ends: Eyelet on one end, Spring on the other I was a little apprehensive ordering this and it was the right part for my mower, but I was able to Can't beat the price so I gave it a try. Was so glad I did. Fits perfectly and very fast delivery. I have a makeshift mower and was going to order one from Sears but it took longer and cost more so it was great to get it! Many Thanks. Definitely recommend.

    Craftsman 42 Mower Blade Drive Cable

    A perfect fit. Just a note for future DIYers. You must remove the fuel tank on Craftsman mowers to get to the top. No need to remove the fuel, just put the tank on the engine. It also helps to have an extra pair of hands when trying to hold the cable on the bolt while reinstalling the washer and spring (the bolt is set vertically and everything should slide up the bolt) It has a couple Trials took but I finally got it back together and kept the cable tension.
