🍲 Carote 4.3 Quart Casserole Dish: Nonstick Dutch Oven with Lid, Stockpot, Glass Cover - Classic Granite Finish Review

Despite competition from pans that have accompanied us for many years, this pan and the Carote pan we bought immediately became the most used pans in our kitchen. The heat is greedy and fast, and cleaning couldn't be easier.

I haven't had a chance to use it. When I received it, one of the handles broke when I took it out of the box (or maybe it already was). I had to return it. The reason I didn't go for an exchange was because I felt I couldn't trust the handles anymore (they still look very fragile) and also because the pot feels very hard.

It doesn't boil water at all if you have an induction hob. It's advertised to work on induction, but it can't boil half a pot of water. If I fill this pot halfway, it cooks for over 22 minutes; and this boiling does not boil, but only begins to simmer. Induction pots usually heat water within a few minutes.

I love this pot and the material it is made of. Excellent non-stick coating, easy to clean. Keep in mind that non-stick pots or pans should probably only be used on low to medium heat and should be hand washed with a soft sponge. Do not use high heat, do not use metal utensils for cooking, and do not put in the dishwasher. For high temperatures, use cast iron or stainless steel. Use it properly and it will work well for you.

I liked the previous carote pans but they got really worse with the new ones. The handles are no longer real wood but have been replaced with imitation wood which is hot to the touch unlike the original wood. A classic example of a once great product moving production to China and destroying its brand in the process. I also ordered a large 6 liter pot and it arrived warped and the lid didn't fit and I had to send it back.

I can cook 7 lb. diced potatoes in this extra large Pretty Pot. I love that it goes with my other two carote pans. I have had Carote products for about a year now and have no complaints. About 2 weeks into my 30 day guarantee, I got a crack in the stone where the wooden handle attaches to my small skillet, but Revain gave me a new one. We came across this brand while looking for a real non-stick pan. After buying a small frying pan to test, we switched to 100% carote dishes. It's amazing and I'm honestly pissed I didn't find it 35 years ago 😆 They're well made with a nicely weighted base, heat well and evenly, clean as hell and for some reason I'll never know if they do are they REALLY AVAILABLE. I've just bought this pot (my 5th after 2 pans, a pasta pot and a small 1.5 liter sauce pot) and it's just as amazing as the rest.
