I had to replace a similar product that was used to illuminate a shelf in a closed bookcase. I think it was too hot there because the rebar almost melted. This new one feels and looks a lot better than the old one.

Easy installation and that makes the lamp really unique. Be careful not to tilt the bottle when squeezing and removing. I wish the cord was a little easier to hide, but that's to be expected. Next time I will buy with dimmer.

Simple and cute, inexpensive and fun. I put one in a bottle of Jack Daniel's, put it on a lampshade and it was the best gift ever! Everyone laughed, and the lamp is right there, in a place of honor, in the man cave. Works fine for 2 seconds. apart from emptying Jack's bottle!.

Perfect for turning a sentimental wine bottle into a table lamp. The cord comes out the top of the bottle which is easy enough to get around. There is no harp, so the lampshade must either be under the bulb or attached to the bulb. It is very easy to create a unique lamp with it.

These frames are very versatile! The gold color looks great when you add it to the base of the lamp. The cartridge is screwed into the cork from below, and in fact I removed the cork from one of them and installed the cartridge directly on the base I was working with. These sockets fit a medium base bulb (E26) and appear to fit a 120-130 volt line. I am happy with this product and recommend it if you want to make your own custom lamp.

That's a good idea but poor execution in my opinion. The cork is perfect for a medium sized wine bottle. But the cable comes out from the top, not through the bottle. No matter where you place the lamp, if the plug is under the base of the lamp, it will become unbalanced. In the end I dismantled the block and pulled the string through the middle. So I could thread the string through the bottle and the cork was still tight. I drill a hole in the bottom of the back of the bottle for the string…
