Stride Rite of disappointing quality.

Poor quality - not what I expected from Stride Rite. They are very cute but they had an odd abrasion when my son first put them on at the playground. As if the top layer had been scraped off. We have a pair of leather Stride Rite's that he has worn all winter and although they have been worn they are real leather and look good. I will ask for a refund.

Pros
  • Bought for my 3 year old for a wedding! Ideal
Cons
  • After wearing it once for the school program, the artificial leather on the toes was completely worn out.

Scratches after 1 week of use

Unfortunately this shoe looks great and comfortable at first, but after just a week of use my 19 meter son has left some scratches that cannot be removed. This is a quality issue as I see multiple comments on this post Ward. Then I give them back

Pros
  • Great for my son! He has wider feet and they are perfect for him!
Cons
  • Bought these shoes for my 4 year old son. Worn less than a month. The color does not match the picture. The price is too high for this quality.

Great for wide feet

My son loves these shoes! He has wide feet so finding the right shoes can be difficult. This shoe is wide enough and comfortable for him!

Pros
  • My 6 year old can take them off and put them on himself and they are smart enough to wear to school and conform to the dress code. Very happy
Cons
  • Bought these shoes for my 2.5 year old. Cute and comfy but frayed on day one. Qualitatively disappointed.

There are only 2 pairs in the package.

The package is expected to contain 4 pairs. I was scammed for half of my order. Where are the other 2 couples? There is a suspicion that they are waterproof. :(

Pros
  • I took out the insoles because my son has very wide feet. Fits him perfectly
Cons
  • After 3 socks, the brown color changed to black. Not worth the money.

Ridiculously bad quality

These shoes were worn the first time they were worn. They were a Christmas present for my grandson. He only wears them a few times a week and they already look worn. The socks are all black due to abrasion and the velcro is longer than necessary. Very disappointed with the quality of this shoe. Stride Rite isn't what it used to be.

Pros
  • Made from high quality materials for durability
Cons
  • This may not provide enough support for a child with foot problems.

Live even better!

They're expensive, but in real life, they're comfy and sooo cute! My 4 year old wore them for our family photos and the holidays that followed and they were perfect!

Pros
  • Easy to put on and take off, so your child can put their shoes on by themselves.
Cons
  • The size may vary depending on the shoe model.

The surface of the shoes began to peel off

The surface of the shoe started to wear out (on the toes and on the sides) after the first wear. The color underneath was dark green. I've never had a problem with Stride Rite shoes. Of course that was a disappointment.

Pros
  • These shoes are the best I have had for my little one since birth. M9ney value for money well spent
Cons
  • The shoes literally fell apart within a few weeks of purchase. The rubber sole came off the boot.

Decent dress or down shoes

Got them for my grandson. He seems to like her. They hold up better than some of them. They're a rite of passage, so they're a good fit. They look great with khaki pants.

Pros
  • I am very happy with this shoe
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean and maintain

Don't waste money

I know these shoes are still more affordable than others but they have completely fallen apart after wearing them to school for just a month. My son only wore them to school and took them off as soon as he got home. There's NO REASON for a pair of Stride-Rite shoes to fall apart so easily. I am extremely upset and disappointed. It is very difficult to find good wide shoes.

Pros
  • The combination of style and functionality ensures excellent value for money.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be flexible enough for active kids.

Damage from a sock.

My toddler (4 years old) wore them to daycare for coloring and they came home completely worn. So sad because the shoes look so pretty and slip easily!

Pros
  • Offers excellent breathability to keep feet cool and dry.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for children with arch problems.

Stops abrasion after multiple wears

The toes of both shoes were completely worn out after a few wears, although our child only wears them to church. They seem cheaply made but in a cute style.

Pros
  • A trusted brand with a reputation for quality and comfort
Cons
  • Children can outgrow their shoes too quickly, forcing parents to change them constantly.

DO NOT BUY! - my new rating

First, the seller on the site has shoes in width, which is deceptive. After a few days, the shoes wear out. I want my money back.

Pros
  • It has a durable outsole for excellent traction on a variety of surfaces.
Cons
  • Material may cause irritation or allergic reactions in some children.

I love these shoes! good for me

Great dress shoes and if your child has wide feet you can remove the insert to make room. I would definitely buy again! Perfect for boys who love dressing up like their dads.

Pros
  • Perfect for boys who like to dress up like their dads.
Cons
  • Shoes can be too narrow or too wide for children's feet.

2 years in a row. the best in my rating

These are the school shoes I bought my son for kindergarten and now 1st grade. They seem comfortable and have lasted all school year (although they looked a little rough up until April).

Pros
  • Engineered with features that promote optimal foot health
Cons
  • The sole can wear out quickly, causing the child to slip or fall.

Poor staying power is the best in my rating

My son only wore them once before they started wearing them in the front. While they fit decently, they're a bit wide for his already wide feet and overall not worth the price. We've had better luck with other Stride-Rite running shoes.

Pros
  • Love the style, so cute for weddings/school programs etc, comfortable and still able to dress it up or dress it down!
Cons
  • Color may not match all clothing options

Poor quality

My 3 year old wore them to a wedding. He walked around the venue in it, rubbing his toes. If I had known these shoes wouldn't even last for an event I would have bought much cheaper shoes. I used to be very happy with Stride Rite but I don't think I will buy this brand again. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • sneakers
Cons
  • price piggy bank

Literally perfect!

My son had fat feet which means his foot doesn't reach the ankle in most shoes. These shoes are literally perfect! They fit so well and are easy to put on. I use them as nicer evening shoes. They are well made and worth the money. It hurt me to spend so much money on toddler shoes but we literally couldn't find any other shoes to fit his feet!

Pros
  • Clothing, shoes and jewelry
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
