Easy to install and set up. Good compass function and also automatic dimming function for night driving. The Homelink garage door opener is also easy to set up and works well.

I installed this auto dimming mirror myself. It's difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, it will be easy. Follow the instructions carefully. What I did was do some research via YouTube and Google so I have an idea of what's inside and what parts and what to expect. It's pretty easy. Once everything is installed, cover the exposed wires with black electrical tape for protection and aesthetics. Why pay someone else when you can do it yourself!

Installed on a 2015 Outback 3.6. Subaru's instructions were precise and very simple. Total installation time was 30 minutes. My only additional comment on the installation: be careful after you pull the console down, it's attached to the wires that wrap around the foam block mentioned in the instructions.
