⏰ Large Display Timer - Sunbeam Digital for Enhanced Productivity Review

Great for seniors. It only has ONE mode - it's a timer. Yes! 😃 I bought 3 more timers for my 95 year old mom who loves to bake! All of them have various unnecessary modes that are very confusing for the elders. 😢

I use this to time my husband's periods between pills. He takes pills 8 times a day and it is important to give him them at the right time. This timer is great for that because it's loud and I can hear it anywhere in the house.

I bought this because it has a magnet and I can use it on the extractor hood over our stove. The problem with this particular model is that the magnet is attached to the back of the clip so the timer sticks out and when you press the buttons the timer tends to fall off the hood. The timer itself works well but the magnet is not reliable.

I had the same problem as the original 61049 I ordered which was the AAA battery NOT fitting properly and the battery cover not locking in place. If you try to force the battery in, it will NOT connect the positive wire. My old Sunbeam lasted over 10 years. This version of MADE IN CHINA looks like Made in Japan and treats the 50s, namely CHARACTER. I will never buy this Sunbeam again!

This is a great simple timer - large display, large clear buttons for hours, minutes and start/stop. It will count up or down depending on what you need to do. But! It's always on. No on/off switch! The start/stop button responds to even the slightest touch, making it easy to accidentally turn the timer on without realizing it. My overall rating is therefore only 3 stars. I wouldn't have bought this timer if I knew I couldn't turn it off.

I bought 5 of these timers because they are so loud I can hear it. I'm constantly distracted, so I often don't hear the timers. This draws my attention, but doesn't bother me. I bought 4 others and they only broke when I threw them off the counter. The metal part of the stand eventually breaks off, so it's not worth it anymore. Other than that, this is a very solid timer that's easy to use.

I agree with a reviewer who said that when attached to the hood with a magnet it wants to move when the button is pressed. This is the only downside I've seen, and since I have a vertical band at the top of the hood, I put my timer there and eliminate the "jiggling" or falling issue. I have 2 and have ordered a third. Love the simplicity, the 10 minute and 5 minute alarms, the volume of the beeps, and the battery life. Also, I can click 'stop' and then add minutes if I need to do this before…

I bought this to help my son with ADHD. He takes a shower in the morning and can always be in the bathroom as he gets easily distracted and forgets about time. The timer stays on the vanity and I explain to him that he needs to set the timer before he goes into the shower and the "warning" beep feature is perfect for this app because he doesn't have to look at the timer (which Be harder since he's in the shower!)
